MTP mode
If an Android device is connected to your Mac via MTP mode, the mounted disk displays separately the internal phone memory data and SD card contents (if available) in different folders correspondingly (Phone and Card, for example). The exact folders names depend on the telephone model.
ADB mode
In case an Android device is connected to a Mac via ADB mode, the mounted disk contains by default three folders:
- sdcard – internal phone memory;
- folders storage and mnt – SD card contents. The folders contents and hierarchy depend on the vendor’s settings;
- others files and folders in the root disk folder are hidden and cannot be viewed unless the file visibility is toggled.
For example, to show hidden files in Finder, Cmd+Shift+. command is used.
