If you have an Oculus VR headset and want to transfer files from Oculus to your Mac, then you have probably faced the issue of not being able to pair these devices. The thing is that the Oculus VR headset runs the Android operating system, and it is a known fact that Apple devices are not compatible with Android. While there’s no built-in Mac solution that allows you to access Oculus files, third-party software comes to the rescue.

In this article, we will cover the topic of how to easily connect your Android device to Mac and transfer screenshots and videos captured within the VR world or other data from Oculus to your Mac for editing or storage.

Connect Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 to Mac

1. Download and install MacDroid on your Mac.

2. Launch the app, choose the MTP connection, and connect your device to your Mac with a cable.

3. If you have an ARM-based MacBook, click the “Allow” button on your Mac.

4. Put your VR headset on, go to the Notification Center, and click on the notification about the USB connection.

5. After that, take your headset off and click the “Allow” button again on your MacBook.

As you see, connecting your Meta Quest is not so difficult. The same steps you will need to take in case you need to connect Meta Quest 3 to Mac or any other model of Meta Quest VR headset.

Note: By default, you can connect your VR to a Mac via MTP mode. If you want to be able to transfer files to Quest 2 or backward via Wi-Fi or ADB, you need to enable the Developer Options.

The only thing that is required is a third-party app that can make the whole process easier.
